Bio:
Peyton Manning was born on March 24, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He started his career to the NFL at Isidore Newman High School where had career totals of 7,207 passing yards and 92 touchdowns. Many expected Manning to attend his father’s alma mater of the University of Mississippi, but he instead decided on the University of Tennessee. Manning had a spectacular career at Tennessee, staying for a full four years even though he could have entered the NFL Draft as a junior. He finished 2nd in the voting for the Heisman Trophy his senior year (1997) and finished his career the top passer in Tennessee history with 11,201 passing yards, 863 pass completions, and 89 passing touchdowns. A First Team All-American, and winner of numerous awards, Manning finished his college career with a 39-6 record as a starter.

Manning was selected with the 1st pick of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He has spent all 9-plus years of his career with the Colts and is well on his way to compiling one of the best careers in NFL history. Manning has already won two NFL MVP awards, been selected to seven Pro Bowls, won a Super Bowl in 2007, and has been named Super Bowl MVP. Through the 2006 season Manning has thrown for over 4,000 yards seven times, over 40 touchdowns one time, over 30 touchdowns three times, and over 20 touchdowns every season. He has started every game of his career so far (149) and he set the all-time record with 49 touchdown passes during the 2004 season. At the start of the 2007 season Manning had career totals of 37,586 passing yards, 3,131 pass completions, and 275 passing touchdowns.
